Weather impact latest: Services returning to normal

UPDATE PM: FRIDAY 2 MARCH

We are working hard to get our services back to normal levels and expect to back to business as usual on Monday.

ROADS

We will continue to grit our primary and secondary routes as necessary. Please make sure cars are not parked where they might obstruct the gritters and emergency vehicles.

BINS

Our crews will aim to catch up with brown bin rounds tomorrow.

They are prioritising brown bins due to the number of rounds still outstanding because of adverse weather conditions. If you are waiting for a collection please do not report this as we are aware.

Anyone who had a brown collection due on Wednesday and Thursday should leave them out and we will aim to collect them.

Anyone who had a recycling collection missed should bring their bins back onto their property for the time-being. If they have extra recyclables, put them in a separate box for now. We will update you on the missed recycling rounds as soon as possible.

The team on our bulky waste collection will be running a service tomorrow.

RECYCLING CENTRES

Chelson Meadow and Weston Mill Recycling Centres will open on Saturday as normal.

CONTACTING THE COUNCIL

Our 1st Stop Shop in New George Street and Contact Centre will open and will as usual on Saturday.
