Twelve local acts will get to perform on the massive MTV Crashes Plymouth stage the day after the sell-out event.
Plymouth City Council is hosting a free evening show on Wednesday 16 July to celebrate local talent and give anyone who was unable to secure tickets for MTV Crashes Plymouth an opportunity to experience another great music event.
Deputy Council Leader Peter Smith said: “We’re really excited to be hosting MTV Crashes Plymouth but it was really important for us to secure the use of the stage for local bands and musicians so that the whole community is part of the celebration.
“This will be a chance for some of our local talent to perform on a giant stage with a full arena sound and lighting system so it should be an amazing experience. There’ll be a real buzz in the city following the MTV show and we hope everyone comes out to enjoy another great evening.”
The show will start at 5pm with a hip hop dance display from Street Factory and performances from young indie band Propeller and rapper Hayden Wright.
Acoustic sets will follow from The Dantes, Sam Fearon, Alice Gullick and Christian Sleep before alternative rock band The Rising take to the stage.
They’ll be followed by Midnight Blues Train, Souled Out and massively popular indie/rock band Joker, before the amazing Mad Dog McCrea round off a fantastic night of free entertainment.
Refreshments will be on sale and the event will finish at around 11pm.
