We would like to apologise to people affected by delays on the A386 Tavistock Road and Outland Road today.
In April we provided a short additional lane just after Sendall’s Way to help relieve congestion on the northbound approach to Derriford Roundabout during the Derriford Transport Scheme works.
We will keep this temporary arrangement in place wherever possible but there are works that need to be carried out soon that will require the additional lane to be closed for a short period of time.
Unfortunately our contractor closed the lane this morning, before we had agreed dates and times. We have asked them to re-open it as a matter of urgency and the plan is to change the lane markings back this evening, weather permitting.
As soon as a programme is agreed for the work in the additional lane we will let everyone know. We apologise on behalf of our contractor for the inconvenience caused.
We are also working with Western Power Distribution to resolve the signal failure on Derriford Roundabout as quickly as possible. This was caused by an electrical fault.
