Tickets for this summer’s spectacular MTV Crashes Plymouth and Club MTV Crashes shows have now sold out.
Pre-sale tickets for MTV Crashes Plymouth went on sale at 6pm last night and sold out in around two hours. Those allocated for general sale this morning were snapped up in just 15 minutes.
See Tickets apologised to customers this morning as music fans rushing to get their hands on the second batch of tickets caused its site to crash.
Plymouth City Council is now in discussions with MTV about the possibility of increasing capacity at the Club MTV Crashes event to give more Plymouth residents the chance to experience an unforgettable night of live music.
Deputy Council Leader Peter Smith said: “There’s already a great buzz about this summer’s Crashes. This is going to be MTV’s biggest ever live UK event and both shows will feature top household names. We’re looking forward to announcing the two line-ups over the coming weeks and hopefully being able to confirm some extra tickets for day two.”
Council events manager Jamie Yabsley said: “Club MTV is a new format for Plymouth and we weren’t sure how much demand to expect but it’s clear we have a lot of music fans in the city. This second day of Crashes will be just as impressive as the first – think incredible club-like energy, like we saw during Example’s performance last year, but on an even bigger scale.”
MTV will be announcing the first names for both of the Crashes events in the coming weeks – stay up-to-date at www.visitplymouth.co.uk/mtv, follow @MTVPlymouth on Twitter or see the What’s On Plymouth Facebook page.
