Support for EU settlement scheme pilot

Eligible EU citizens who want to apply to the EU settlement scheme pilot, but who do not currently have access to an Android phone, will be able to get support from Plymouth City Council to apply.

Two Android phones are now available to use in the Council’s 1st Stop Shop in New George Street, but you must meet all requirements set out by the Government to apply. The pilot scheme can only be accessed via Android phones, but from 30 March 2019 the scheme will be fully open from all devices.

Councillor Sally Haydon, Cabinet Member for Customer Focus and Community Safety, said “We really value our 11,000 Plymouth residents who have settled from other EU countries and chosen our city as their home, place of work and where they bring up their families. Because we know that many will be eager to start their settlement process as soon as possible we have two Android phones available for customers to use either with or without staff assistance.”

Residents are advised to check their eligibility for settled status first at https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-citizens-families/applying-for-settled-status

Opening Hours for 1st Stop Shop are 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday. https://www.plymouth.gov.uk/contactus/counciloffices/1ststop
