Some of our OAP bus pass holders are being contacted by letter this week asking them to return a pass that may have been issued twice.
Plymouth City Council has been made aware of a database issue experienced by the bus pass database provider.
A glitch in a new automated part of the process has meant a number of bus pass holders have been issued with two passes.
The bus pass customer management database provider has agreed to send letters to all those affected apologising and clarifying which pass they should use / destroy. They have also agreed to cover the costs of the reissue.
We appreciate that this may cause confusion for pass holders and have alerted our staff in our libraries, as well as our 1st Stop shop so that they can help those affected if they are not sure about to do.
We would urge people to wait until they have received a letter which provides instructions of what to do.
