Investors at the country’s number one property trade show will be getting a snapshot of how great Britain’s Ocean City is for business and lifestyle.
A team from the Council will be at the event in Olympia this week for MIPIM, which attracts investors, developers, hotel groups, agents and business service providers. And to help them sell the city, the team has a new video to showcase the city to a global audience.
The video has been produced by local company View Hear and provides a tantalizing taster of life here in Plymouth.
As well as shots of the ships in the Sound, events on the Hoe and the feel-good factor, it also features interviews of key business figures about why the city works for them.
Council leader Tudor Evans said: “We are on a mission to sell the city to investors – inward investment brings the city jobs, prosperity and opportunity.
“Over the last few years we have made massive progress to open up areas that were previously behind military walls, people are waking up to the potential this city offers and we are at a very exciting time for Plymouth.
“In almost every area – development, tourism, creative industries, education, engineering and the marine sector, we are making waves and we need to let the world know. People who attend this event are extremely busy and need to be impressed very quickly. We need to capture their attention and keep it.”
Plymouth is promoting a number of development opportunities around the city to developers including sites that are suitable for hotel developments including Millbay, Mount Wise as well as locations in the city centre, the South Yard and the developments such as Seaton and Derriford and Plymouth International Medical & Technology Park.
