Council crews are on standby to deal with any issues related to the heavy rain and gales hitting Plymouth this afternoon.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning which is currently in place until midnight. People are advised to take care and not put themselves in danger around the waterfront.
Known flooding hotspots are being constantly monitored and teams will be working throughout the day and night to keep the city moving, with mechanical sweepers and additional gully carts being deployed across the network.
