Julian Clary talking to children at Plymouth GuildhallComedian and children’s author Julian Clary visited on Friday for an event at the Guildhall organised by our Library Service to Schools.

Julian was talking about his series of books featuring The Bolds, about a family of hyenas living in disguise as humans in an ordinary suburban street.

Over 800 children attended the event, which also celebrated the Plymouth launch of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. Julian answered questions from the children and signed their books.

Councillor Glenn Jordan, Cabinet Member for Culture, said “We were thrilled to welcome such a well-known and popular author to meet children from Plymouth.”
