Local bar operators are being invited to an open day to find out more about how they can run the Plymouth Guildhall bar.
The Guildhall bar is a prime location for a wide range of events such as graduations, award ceremonies, boxing, fairs, gala dinners, private functions and is becoming increasingly popular venue for weddings.
Located in the heart of the city, it has played an integral role in the city’s history over the years, presenting an exciting prospect to be at the hub of the city’s cultural experience.
The Council is now seeking an experienced bar operator for the running of the two purpose built bars for a period of two years with a possible extension of a further two years.
Operators are being invited to the Plymouth Guildhall on 25 April from 10am until 12 noon, to view the venue and to understand the role they will play in the delivery of one of Plymouth’s landmark sites. It will be an opportunity to ask questions about the Guildhall and about the opportunity to run our bar contracts.
The process relating to the award of contracts will be explained at the event and there will be an opportunity to ask the Guildhall team questions. Tenders then go live on Monday, 7 May and the contract will be awarded in June 2018 with the commencement date of 1 July.
Any businesses who wish to attend need to book their place here via Eventbrite.
For any general enquiries about the venue or process, please contact Samantha Crowley at Samantha.Crowley@plymouth.gov.uk.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday, 25 May 2018.
