Make sure you’re registered to vote in local elections

If you want to vote in the local elections on Thursday 3 May and aren’t already on the electoral register you have just four weeks left to sign up.

The deadline for registering is midnight on Tuesday 17 April.

Council Chief Executive Tracey Lee said: “It’s really important that everyone who is entitled to vote is able to. If you want to have a say on who makes the decisions that affect your life, you have to be registered to vote. It’s easy to register online and only takes five minutes.”

Register online and if you’ve moved or changed your name you can update your details too. If you need help registering call 304866.
