Tom Findlay (one half of cult DJ duo Groove Armada) and BBC Radio 1 DJ Danny Howard will complete the line-up for Day Two of MTV Presents: Ocean City Sounds.
Tom and Danny will be joining 90s heavyweight DJ and dance music titan Pete Tong on Plymouth Hoe for an incredible Ibiza-inspired night of music.
Groove Armada began after Tom and Andy Cato met in London in the mid-90s. They are now established as one of the planet’s top dance acts, have released seven studio albums and are famous for tracks including ‘Superstylin’ and ‘I See You Baby’.
Tom has played clubs and festivals across the world, from Ushuaia in Ibiza to Creamfields and can’t wait to get the crowds partying in Plymouth. He said: “I’m looking forward to bringing that Ibiza feeling to the south coast this July and Plymouth Hoe is an incredible location, so it’s going to be a great night!”
Danny Howard is one of the world’s leading dance music DJs and an established presenter on BBC Radio 1. Having presented the Dance Anthems show for more than five years, he’s now part of the legendary Friday night dance line-up alongside Annie Mac and Pete Tong.
Danny will be getting the crowds fired up at the start of Day Two. He said: “I can’t wait to see thousands of you ready to party in Plymouth. I’ll be playing some of the biggest and best dance tracks so get ready for an unforgettable night.”
Day Two will be headlined by Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley, with their full festival-length Ibiza Classics show. The show sees well-loved dance tracks performed by a full orchestra and guest vocalists, accompanied by a spectacular light show.
Day One of MTV Presents: Ocean City Sounds will feature Bastille, Ella Eyre, Professor Green and R3WIRE & VARSKI. Day One will be filmed as part of the MTV Presents series, which includes Gibraltar Calling and Varna Beach in Bulgaria. A highlights show, ‘MTV Presents: Ocean City Sounds’, will be broadcast in August.
