Election voting gets under way

Thousands of people will be heading to polling stations across Plymouth today (Thursday 5 May) to vote in the City Council and Police and Crime Commissioner elections.

Polls are open from 7am to 10pm and the count for the City Council election will get under way at the Plymouth Life Centre as soon as ballot boxes have been verified.

The Police and Crime Commissioner election count will take place in Exeter tomorrow, from 11am. Results will be announced on the Exeter City Council website.
