Easter bin collections arrangements

Bin collections will be one day later than usual due to the bank holiday.

Plymouth residents are being reminded bin collections will be collected a day later next week because of Bank Holiday Monday.

Rounds this week will not be affected because there are no scheduled rounds on Good Friday, however the following week bins and bags will be picked up a day later.

The reminder comes with some tips about Easter rubbish. Easter egg boxes, foil wrappers, tissue paper and plastic eggs can all be recycled and we have put together some top tips to help you become an ‘eggcellent’ recycling household.

•Recycle the boxes the eggs come in – flatten them before putting them in your green bin to give you more space for other recyclables.

•As well as boxes, many Easter eggs come wrapped in foil, which can be recycled – over 500 million foil wrapped fondant-filled eggs are produced a year

•Easter cards are becoming more popular each year, once you have finished displaying them make sure you recycle them in your green bin.
