Traffic signal priorities will be changed at the junction of Outland Road, Ham Drive and Weston Park Road this week.
At the moment, traffic from Ham Drive and Weston Park Road heads onto Outland Road at the same time and drivers turning right have to give way to oncoming traffic.
The signals will be changed from Tuesday evening (19 September) so that traffic from Ham Drive and Weston Park Road will be released onto Outland Road on separate signal phases.
The change has been recommended by the construction contractor for the Outland Road Junction Improvement Scheme (Amey), following monitoring of the junction’s operation.
It will make it easier for drivers turning right out of Ham Drive and Weston Park Road and address concerns raised by some people travelling through the area. The changes should not affect drivers heading north or south along Outland Road itself.
Work to change the signals will take place after 7pm to minimise any potential disruption.
